The creative process of Block-Printing

It all starts with inspiration (mostly from nature). It may take weeks to perfect a simple pencil drawing before I commit to carve it into a block. My creative editor (my creative sister) will sometimes help me decide on the final touches to make it just right.

When the design is ready, the carving process begins. I like to think of it as my artistic meditation. It may take hours to days to carve a single stamp. I take my time, enjoying the process.

When the stamp is ready for printing, the magic begins. Each item is hand-printed with love & care. The fabric prints allowed to dry for about 24hrs and then heat set to prepare the artwear to be enjoyed by the little ones & you.

We use water-based, non-toxic ink to make our prints. This type of ink is safe for the little ones’ skin and our earth.
